New ResQ Beta App — Frequently Asked Questions

We are developing a new ResQ Club app, and it’s already available in beta!

During this beta testing phase, we’re giving our customers the chance to try out the new app before its official release. This helps us improve and refine the app based on feedback we receive before the full launch.

The new app will eventually replace the current ResQ Club app.

What does the beta app mean in practice?


Beta testing is a trial phase where users have the chance to test a new app before its official release. This allows us, as app developers, to identify areas for improvement and enhance the app’s functionality based on feedback and user experiences.

By participating in beta testing, you can help shape the ResQ Club app and be among the first to try out the new features we’ve designed!

How is the new app different from the previous one?

The core idea of ResQ remains exactly the same in the new app: you can view, browse, purchase, and pay for surplus offers directly within the app. 🤩

Alongside a fresh new look, we’re upgrading the underlying technology, allowing for faster product development. The new app already includes some features that have been requested and make browsing and purchasing offers even smoother!

In the new app, for example…

  • you can sort offers in your area more conveniently (nearest to you, favorites first, latest offers)

  • you can save multiple payment cards in the system

  • items added to your cart are reserved for you for a short period, allowing you to complete purchases at your own pace, especially for fast-selling items.


New features and improvements will continue to be added to the beta app along the way. 😊 You’ll be notified of new features in the beta app with each app update.


Since this is the beta phase, not all features from our previous app are yet available in the new one.

In the new app, you currently cannot…

  • buy or use credits

    • credits on your account will be preserved even if you switch to the beta app.

  • buy or use gift cards

    • gift card credits on your account will be preserved even if you switch to the beta app.

  • block venues

These features will be added to the new app at some point! 🤗 You’ll be notified of new features in the beta app with each update.

Will the previous app be completely removed?

The short answer: eventually, yes. ​The ResQ Club beta app is the first version of our new app, which we’ve been developing for some time.

The purpose of the beta app is to allow us to see how everything functions in practice and to gather customer feedback before we fully replace the previous app with the new one.

Will my order history, credits, or discount codes remain on my account if I switch to the beta?

Everything on your account will stay saved, even if you switch to using our beta app, and later when you move to the officially released new app.

Please note that while your credits will remain on your account regardless of the app version, using credits and gift cards is not yet possible in the beta app.

Your order history is also visible in the beta app!

What languages is the new app available in?


The beta app is available in Finnish, English, Swedish, German and Estonian.

I want to try out the new app! How can I do that?

We have launched an open beta programme, and you can join while there are still seats left!

How to join - Android:

  • Go to ResQ Club app in Google Play - or tap here

  • Tap on “Join beta program” → this might take a little while so grab a coffee and come back after half an hour.

  • After the wait, you should be able to download the beta version of the app. Do this by downloading the app on Google Play and accepting the disclaimer.

  • If you wish to leave beta and go back to the public version of ResQ, go to ResQ Club’s page on Google Play and tap “Leave” under the beta program.

How to join - iOS:

  • You need to first install TestFlight, which is Apple’s designated app for testing mobile apps. Go to App Store and search for TestFlight - or tap here and install TestFlight on your device.

  • To access ResQ beta on TestFlight, tap this invitation link and install the beta app. TestFlight might notify you that the app has already been installed → click “Install” in this view and you’ll be able to move forward.

  • If you wish to leave beta and go back to the public version of ResQ, simply download ResQ Club on the App Store and it will replace the beta version.


Using the Beta App 🤳

Logging in and registering in the app

You can register in the ResQ Club app using either your email address, Apple ID, Google, or Facebook account — whichever you prefer. This will also be your login method going forward.

If you’ve already created an account and are now just switching from the previous app to the beta app, there’s no need to register again. Simply follow the login instructions below. ⤵️

If you were already logged into ResQ Club, your account should be active and ready to use as soon as you have the beta version on your phone.

If you were logged out, log in with your email address, Apple ID, Google, or Facebook account, depending on which one you used to register originally.

  • If you’ve forgotten your password and can’t log in, please contact our customer support at info@resq-club.com.

Placing an order

You can browse offers directly on the map (teal markers indicate available offers) or move the map to your desired area and view offers in the list below the map view.

When you find an offer you like, click on it to see details such as the description. To purchase the offer, press "Add to Order."

The pickup time is shown before you open the offer and also in the additional details — it's a good idea to check this before purchasing to ensure it fits your schedule!

Once you’ve added the first item to your order, you can either proceed to payment (with the "Place Order" button) or return to browse more offers from the same seller (with the "+ Add more items to your order" button). This will display all other available offers from the same seller, which you can add to your order.

Note! You cannot purchase offers from multiple sellers in the same order. Instead, you’ll need to place separate orders for each seller.

When you’ve added all desired offers to your order, you can select your payment method and complete the payment by pressing the "Place Order" button.

Once the payment is made, your order is complete! 🙏

Buying and using credits and gift cards, and using discount codes

In the beta app, it’s not yet possible to buy or use credits and gift cards.

However, don’t worry! If you already have credits on your account and switch to the beta app, your credits will remain linked to your account, even though you won’t see them in the beta app. 😊

Using credits and gift cards will, of course, also be possible in the new app. However, if you’d like to use them before this feature becomes available, you can do so by returning to our previous app. You’ll find instructions for doing so below (Returning to the Previous App from Beta).

You can add discount codes from the "Me" tab by selecting "ResQ Codes." Enter the code, and the discount will be applied to your next purchase as usual.

Order Payment and Payment Methods

Orders are always paid directly in the ResQ app before pickup, so payment on-site is not possible.

Once you’ve added your desired offers to your cart and pressed "Place Order (amount)," the payment method menu will open.

Available payment methods are:

  • Debit and credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, Discover

  • MobilePay (only in Finland)

  • Swish (only in Sweden)

  • Apple Pay (only on iOS)

  • Google Pay (only on Android)

When paying with a bank or credit card for the first time, you’ll need to enter your card details. However, you can save your card information to your account for easier payments in the future (see the image below). As a new feature, you can also save more than one card to your account.

Picking up your order

Order pickup remains the same regardless of which app version you’re using: simply show your order receipt or purchase confirmation in the app to the staff at the location. 🙏

Since the beta version is currently used by only a few customers, the receipt view in the app may be unfamiliar to sellers. Be prepared to show your email receipt for your purchase if needed.

Order reviews and problem reports

You can review your orders and report a problem in the new app version as well. You can leave a review after picking up your order by going to your order history, tapping the order and scrolling down to leave a review. The app will also ask you to leave a review the next time you open the app.

You can report a problem on the pickup screen by tapping "Report a problem" or if you have already picked up your order, problem report is located in the order history.

Marking venues as favorites 💚

Your favorites list will remain the same as before, and if you'd like to browse your favorites, they're easily found on the "Me" tab -> "Favorites".

You can mark a venue as a favorite by tapping the heart icon 💚 on the top corner of the venue page. Tapping again will remove the venue from favorites. Hot tip: you can sort the offer list view with your favorites first for easier offer browsing!

Returning to the legacy app from beta

If you’d like to go back to using the previous ResQ app after switching to the beta, that’s possible! You can also return to the beta app anytime you wish.

Below, you’ll find instructions for returning to the previous app based on your operating system.

iOS (Apple devices)

  • Go to the App Store

  • Search for the ResQ Club app

  • If the previous app was installed on your device before, you’ll see a cloud icon next to it—tap this icon to begin downloading.

  • If not, the download will start by pressing the Download button.

  • Once the download is complete, it will automatically replace the previous beta app on your device.

  • You can now log in to the app and continue using it.

Android (other devices)

  • Open the Play Store

  • Open your profile in the top right corner

  • Select Manage apps & devices -> Beta

  • Select the ResQ Club app

  • Under "You’re a beta tester," choose "Leave"

  • We recommend waiting about 30 minutes after leaving the beta before reinstalling the app from the store.

  • Reinstall the ResQ Club app from the store

  • You can now log in to the app and continue using it.
