Paying with the debit or credit side?
For combination cards, which have both debit and credit card functions, there are always two separate card numbers and verification numbers (CVC codes).
The credit side's card number is the one displayed on the front of the card, and people often end up entering this out of habit when making a payment. This is perfectly fine if you intend to pay with the credit card side!
However, if you intend to pay with the debit side, or bank card, you will find the debit number on the back of the card. Most often, it is located at the bottom left corner on the back.
If you don't have a combination card, it's simple: your card will only have one series of numbers and one verification number, which you can enter to make the payment. π β

Verification Number
Whether you choose to pay with a bank or credit card, both require a CVC code, or verification number. The verification number is a three-digit code, and your card will have a CVC code separately for both the bank and credit card sides.
The credit card's CVC code is found at the end of the "signature strip"
The bank card's CVC code is found after the debit card number
The image below shows the placement of these numbers on the card, so you can easily find what you are looking for!
