Can I cancel my order after it's been placed?
Updated over a year ago

Once you have placed an order, it is not possible to cancel it through the ResQ's app or customer service.

According to ResQ's terms and conditions for customers, the order is binding for the customer: if orders were canceled, we wouldn’t be reducing waste together, as the product has been reserved for you during that time, and no one else could save it.

You can review ResQ’s terms of service regarding cancellations here.

Therefore, we recommend that you carefully check your order (contents, pickup time, and seller’s location) before finalizing it! 🙏

However, you always have the option to call the seller (restaurant, cafe, store) directly and ask if they are willing to cancel the order you’ve already placed.

Since this understandably creates extra work for the seller, we want to emphasize that the seller is not obligated to agree to the cancellation. Some sellers may agree to cancellations, especially in situations where the product can be put back on sale and there is plenty of time left for it to be sold.

You can call the venue by clicking on the venue's name in the offer view and then pressing the "Call" button (as shown in the image below).

Can I get a refund for my order if I wasn't able to pick it up within the pickup time?

Unfortunately, the answer is no. It is the customer's responsibility to pick up the order within the pick up time informed by the seller. It’s certainly unfortunate, if you are unable to pick up your order! 😔

However, to stick to our agreed rules, that is, our terms of service, it wouldn't be fair to the seller to refund orders in situations where the customer was unable to pick up their order, as the seller couldn’t offer the order to anyone else during that time.

As with cancellation situations, you can of course call the seller and ask if they can, for example, hold onto your order a bit longer or if they can wait if you are only slightly late.

If the nature of your order allows, you could also suggest picking up the product the next day! However, the seller is not obligated to keep your order any longer than initially informed on the offer.
